Matthew 5:17
The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law
or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Matthew 5:21-22
Murder
21 “You have heard that it was said
to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be
subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or
sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the
court. And
anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Matthew 5:27-30
Adultery
27 “You have heard that it was said,
‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a
woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right
eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part
of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if
your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part
of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Mark 10:23
23 Jesus looked around and said to
his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”
Mark 10:25
25 It is easier for a camel to go
through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom
of God."
Mark 10:27
27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is
impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20-21
20 We are therefore Christ’s
ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on
Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Matthew 8:2-3
2 A man with leprosy came and knelt
before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
3 Jesus reached out his hand and
touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.
"Did Jesus come t fulfill the Law?" Yes!!
